Meet Anthony Garcia, M.A., LMFT #149340
7+ years of dedicated service helping individuals heal and transform their stories
As someone who has walked through personal challenges, I know the courage it takes to seek support. For the past 7+ years, I've helped clients discover healing through EMDR, CBT, Attachment Theory, and Narrative Therapy.
As the day comes to a close, many people notice that the thoughts and feelings they kept buried begin to rise. Anxiety gets louder. Trauma feels closer. Sleep becomes harder. I created my practice to support adults in those moments — while also helping them strengthen their overall mental health and well-being.
I believe our healing comes from the stories we tell others, and together, we'll work to rewrite yours.

Why Evening Therapy?
For many adults, the hardest part of the day begins when the distractions end. The evening can bring intrusive thoughts, negative self-beliefs, anxiety, restlessness, sadness, and difficulty sleeping.
My practice offers evening and late-evening sessions — from 5 PM to 10 PM — designed for people who need support during the hours when symptoms often feel most intense. This work is not only about getting through the night. It is about creating meaningful healing that carries into every part of life.
Daytime sessions are also available. Evening therapy is a niche, not a limit.

Ready to Begin?
Taking the first step can feel overwhelming. Let's start with a conversation about how I can support you.
Therapy Approaches
A blend of evidence-based therapies designed to meet you where you are
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
For healing the wounds of trauma so they no longer control you.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
For healing the wounds of trauma so they no longer control you.
I use EMDR as part of a trauma-informed treatment approach to help clients process painful experiences, reduce emotional distress, and build internal stability. My approach emphasizes safety, pacing, and preparation, including grounding and regulation skills before deeper processing when appropriate. EMDR can support both immediate symptom relief and long-term healing.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
For breaking the cycle of anxious or negative thoughts and building healthier ones.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
For breaking the cycle of anxious or negative thoughts and building healthier ones.
Our thoughts shape the way we feel and act. If your mind is stuck in loops like "I'm not good enough," "Everything will go wrong," or "It's always my fault," then your life starts to feel smaller. CBT helps you recognize those negative thought patterns, challenge them, and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. Over time, that shift gives you more freedom, calm, and control in daily life.
Attachment-Based Therapy
For understanding the roots of how you connect with others and creating more secure relationships.

Attachment-Based Therapy
For understanding the roots of how you connect with others and creating more secure relationships.
The way we learned to connect as children often shows up in our adult relationships, sometimes in ways that cause conflict, loneliness, or fear of closeness. Maybe you find yourself pulling away even when you want connection, or feeling anxious when people you love aren't available. Attachment-based therapy helps you understand those patterns and heal from them. In the therapy room, you begin to experience a secure relationship—one built on safety and trust—that can ripple into how you connect with others outside of therapy.
Narrative Therapy
For rewriting the story you tell yourself so it's one of strength, resilience, and hope.

Narrative Therapy
For rewriting the story you tell yourself so it's one of strength, resilience, and hope.
The stories we tell ourselves matter. Often, without even realizing it, we carry painful narratives like "I'm broken," "I'll never be enough," or "I'm defined by my trauma." Narrative therapy helps you step back, examine those stories, and rewrite them. Instead of being trapped by a story of pain, you begin to tell one of resilience, strength, and growth. This isn't about ignoring what happened; it's about reclaiming the meaning and reshaping your identity around hope and healing.
Christian-Based Therapy (Optional)
Integrating faith and healing for those who request it.

Christian-Based Therapy (Optional)
Integrating faith and healing for those who request it.
For clients who want to integrate their faith into the process, I offer therapy that includes Christian values, prayer, and biblical perspectives. This approach helps connect spiritual growth with emotional healing. I meet clients where they are in their faith journey, whether that means drawing from scripture for encouragement, exploring how trauma has impacted their relationship with God, or simply holding space for prayer alongside therapeutic work.

What to Expect in Therapy
Common questions about beginning your healing journey
Why do people come to therapy?
Why do people come to therapy?
Because carrying pain alone is exhausting. Therapy is a place where your story is honored and held safely. I believe healing is hidden in the stories we share—and therapy is where those stories find light.
Do I need to have it all figured out before I start?
Do I need to have it all figured out before I start?
Not at all. Therapy isn't about having the right words—it's about showing up as you are. I'll help you put your story into words as we go.

That's okay. Taking the first step is often the hardest. My role is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can move at your own pace. You don't have to do this alone.

Not at all. My practice is open to anyone, regardless of faith background. I only integrate Christian-based therapy if a client requests it. Therapy should always reflect your needs, values, and story.

I had the privilege of joining Dr. Drew Live as a guest contributor, where I brought a therapist's perspective to real conversations about mental health, healing, and resilience. In the featured video, Dr. Drew reminded viewers that "Treatment works!"—a message that deeply resonates with me.
During our conversation, I shared insights from my own journey and clinical experience, highlighting the power of trauma-informed care, EMDR, and the healing that comes when we share our stories. My mission is simple: to help people uncover the hope that's already within them and spread hope like fire.
